Skardu Village

 Baltistan consists of four districts Skardu, Shigar, Kharmang, and Ghanche.

 Skardu is the main city of Baltistan. The Frenchman Francois Bernier discovers the Skardu city in 1625-1688. Skardu is an organic city. Skardu city is located 2438 meters above sea level. The total area of Skardu is  15000 km2(600 sq. ml). 

Skardu is famous for a variety of tasty, aromatic fruit as well as dry fruit like apple, peaches, pears, etc. The people of Skardu speak English, Urdu, Balti, and Shina languages but the local language of Skardu is Balti. The Balti language is written in Tibetan. The Balti language is also spoken to another country like India, China, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Population of Skardu appropriate to 214,848 in 2019.

The Skardu is located in the north of Pakistan. The border meets with KPK in the west, China in the northeast and Jammu Kashmir in the south. The world’s highest mountains include Gasherbrum, K2, Masherbrum and Baltoro Muztagh.

Skardu is the main tourist region of Baltistan. The mountains in this region attract the attention of tourists and mountaineers from all over the world. Skardu has four seasons which are winter, summer, spring, and autumn. Skardu is the God gifted place where people can enjoy all the four seasons(winter, summer, spring, and autumn). The climate of Skardu is pleasant in summer as well as in winter. In summer seasons most of the tourists move here because of the pleasant climate. List of places to visit tourists in Skardu as below:

Travel Skardu to Islamabad:

The straight line distance between Islamabad and Skardu is 291 km and the driving distance is 602 km.
It almost take 1 hour to reachecd from skardu to Islamabad and from islamabad to skardu. If traveler used airline or other vehicles like buses, cars, etc. then time vary depending on your vehical speed.

Travel Skardu to Khaplu:

The Khaplu village almost 110 kilometers away from the Skardu and take two hours to reached by the van or jeep or car in normal speed. The fare to travel from Skardu to Khaplu at local service is 5$.
